I've never had a bad experience here. The owner usually comes to check on you in addition to the wait staff. You can tell she cares about you, the quality of the food and your experience. I've always felt like their staff goes out of their way for you... And the desserts.... I could eat them all day long ❤️

The owner was the most accommodating and sweet lady. I have ever come across. She also ended up serving us. It was the best experience at a restaurant I’ve had in a minute. She was so sweet and kind and made sure we had everything we needed. She even let me charge my computer so I could get some homework done.

The food is so very tasty and everyone who works here is super sweet! If you're a fan of dessert, they make all their sweets every morning so it's very fresh. I definitely recommend you give the Rhubarb House a try if you're in the area!

Food is always good so there have been many return trips. For a nice casual laid back lunch this is a good option. Service is usually good but every once in a while slows down somewhat during busy times. Had the crab bisque this time which is frequently on the menu and it was superb. Also tried the seafood flatbread which is a new addition since my last visit and it was quite tasty and arranged beautifully.

We arrived just before the place filled for lunch. Very quaint and cozy. Attentive servers. Delicious food, particularly the soups and desserts, served with real whipped cream.

Had lunch today at the rhubarb house. Look at their menu online the ordered for pickup. They have Dine-in available. Their hours are from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. they also offer curbside pickup if you prefer. We ordered a veggie melt sandwich, and the steak wrap sandwich. Both came with chips and a very nice fruit garnish a pineapple and strawberry. The young lady that took our order was very pleasant. And when we got there to pick up our order it was ready and waiting for us in a very nice cellophane bag with a red ribbon around it. The food was very tasty . I had the steak wrap sandwich and it was made with flank steak which is one of my favorites so I was very happy and the coleslaw was very good that was in the rap . My wife had a veggie melt sandwich served open-faced on focaccia bread with smoked mozzarella and grilled marinated vegetables it was very tasty and she enjoyed it greatly . This was our first trip to the rhubarb house and it will not be our last . The food and the prices are both excellent . Thank you for making a wonderful lunch for us . This is another local restaurant in Hagerstown that has been around for a while but still needs the locals to eat there or order food to help small businesses survive through this pandemic. As I've said in my other reviews we need to support all of our local restaurants and stores so that the money stays here in the community and helps out the people around us to keep their jobs and to be able to make an living and pay their bills. If we are going to go out and eat let's eat somewhere local and support our local restaurants.

Charming local restaurant in downtown Hagerstown with nice touches all around on food, atmosphere, and service. Worth the trip. The chicken salad is outstanding. Highly recommend, and I return whenever traveling through the area.
